mosaic art. Artist Lisa Southerland has perfected this age-old craft, creating a

Whereas many mosaics incorporate broken pieces of tile or stone, Southerland
hand-cuts and sculpts each piece to fit within her designs, assuring precision
work with no sharp edges. She undertakes a wide range of projects, from
elaborate wall murals to intricate floor medallions and everything in between -
kitchen and bathroom back-splashes, pools and spas, table tops, and the like.
Though many of her designs are permanent fixtures in a home, she also
fabricates artwork that can be removed and taken to a new setting. She is
